GDPR & Your Data Rights
Last updated: 1 May 2026 · Turtle Technologies Ltd
The UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018 give you significant rights over your personal data. This page explains those rights in plain English and tells you exactly how to exercise them with Clearbridge.
Who controls your data
Turtle Technologies Ltd is the data controller for personal data collected through the Platform. This means we determine how and why your data is processed. Our contact: jobs@clearbridgetalent.co.uk.
When you apply for a job through Clearbridge, the employer who posted the role becomes a separate data controller for the personal data you submit in your application. We recommend reviewing the privacy policy of any employer you apply to.
1. Right of access (Subject Access Request)
You have the right to request a copy of all personal data we hold about you, free of charge. We will provide this within 30 days of receiving your request.
To make a Subject Access Request, email jobs@clearbridgetalent.co.uk with the subject line "Subject Access Request". We may need to verify your identity before processing the request.
2. Right to rectification
You have the right to have inaccurate or incomplete personal data corrected. You can update most of your information directly in your account profile settings. For data you cannot update yourself, contact us and we will make the correction within 30 days.
3. Right to erasure (Right to be forgotten)
You have the right to request deletion of your personal data in certain circumstances, including when:
- The data is no longer necessary for the purpose it was collected.
- You withdraw consent and there is no other legal basis for processing.
- You object to processing and there are no overriding legitimate grounds.
- The data has been unlawfully processed.
We will delete your data within 30 days of receiving your request, except where we are required to retain it by law. You can also delete your account directly from your profile settings, which will initiate the deletion process.
4. Right to restrict processing
You have the right to request that we restrict how we use your personal data in certain circumstances — for example, while you contest the accuracy of data we hold, or while we assess whether our legitimate interests override your rights to object.
5. Right to data portability
You have the right to receive a copy of personal data you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format (such as JSON or CSV), and to transmit that data to another service. This right applies to data processed by automated means on the basis of your consent or a contract.
6. Right to object
You have the right to object to processing of your personal data where we rely on legitimate interests as our legal basis. We will stop processing unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights, and freedoms, or unless we need to process the data for the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims.
7. Rights related to automated decision-making
Atlas AI performs automated scoring and feedback generation on job applications. Under UK GDPR Article 22, you have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing that significantly affects you.
Atlas scores are used to assist employers — not to make final decisions automatically. However, if you wish to request human review of any Atlas AI output, email jobs@clearbridgetalent.co.uk with the subject line "Human Review Request", including the job title and employer you applied to.
8. How to exercise your rights
To exercise any of the above rights, email us at jobs@clearbridgetalent.co.uk with the relevant subject line. We will acknowledge your request within 5 working days and respond in full within 30 days. In complex cases, we may extend this by a further two months — we will inform you if this is necessary.
We will not charge a fee for exercising your rights unless requests are manifestly unfounded or excessive, in which case we may charge a reasonable fee or decline to respond.
9. Right to complain
If you are not satisfied with how Clearbridge has handled your personal data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO):
- Website: ico.org.uk
- Phone: 0303 123 1113
- Post: Information Commissioner's Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF
We would appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns before you contact the ICO. Please email us first at jobs@clearbridgetalent.co.uk.
